A space can lack something. It can be filled with pieces of furniture and still feel empty or cold. A good piece of art can provide for a feeling of satisfaction: it makes your space human, personal and complete. It can be the reason for starting a conversation.

Love for art is much like other things in life that matter: it grows.

Tuxedo bird – assignment

Sold

This painting is an assignment for Sofie, who wanted to surprise her friend, Harmen. Harmen considers tuxedo birds as special animals. They are the symbol of luck. Sofie thinks Harmen has a lot in common with tuxedo birds: he is wise, calm, elegant and free. He is a thinker. He takes life seriously and understands its complexity. He has many colors and dimensions in his feathers. No black nor grey has been used in this painting, only colors. Everything has several colors.
